About
RateCard Lab is a small independent research desk. We collect published third-party logistics rate cards, normalize them into one comparable structure, and write about what the numbers mean for brands shipping 500 to 20,000 orders a month.
Why this exists
A brand collecting three 3PL quotes receives three incompatible documents. One prices per order, one per item, one bundles software and one bills it weekly; storage is quoted per bin, per pallet, or per cubic foot. Comparing them requires rebuilding all three against your own order profile, which is hours of spreadsheet work that most operators do once, badly, under time pressure. Vendors cannot publish neutral cross-vendor benchmarks, and content farms cannot fabricate data that survives being checked. So we do it.
How we pay for it
We sell the 3PL Quote Normalizer Kit, a workbook that does the comparison described above against your own numbers. We may in future earn affiliate commission from logistics software referenced on this site; where that happens it will be disclosed on the page it appears. No vendor pays for placement, ranking, or favorable treatment in the dataset, and no vendor sees a page before it is published.
